Singer & Songwriter

Momelo, also known as Melody Boutin, is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose musical journey began early with the creation of her own songs and collaborations with local rappers during her teenage years. Influenced by artists such as Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey, Pink, and TLC, Momelo honed her craft through participation in talent competitions and the formation of an all-female band at just 15 years old.

Venturing out on her own at 17, Momelo pursued her music career with the guidance of producer Robert Marchand. Despite facing challenges with her initial album, the experience proved invaluable to her artistic growth. At 19, she curated her first live show and embarked on a Canadian tour with her cabaret burlesque trio.

While continuing to perform with the trio, Momelo secured a contract with the group Alter Ego, enabling her to tour extensively across the United States and Canada. After two years, she established her production company, producing shows for various private entities.

In 2019, Momelo made the decision to close her production company to refocus on her roots and songwriting, leading her to collaborate with Grammy Award-winning producer Steve Pageot.

Currently drawing inspiration from contemporary artists like Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, HER, and Jazmine Sullivan, Momelo's journey is characterized by resilience, determination, and an unwavering passion for music. With her debut album in progress, she is poised to leave an even greater mark as a talented and versatile artist.
